Maria’s quinceañera ends early when she goes missing. Her friends are on the case. They fill up a board with suspects, motives, and all the relevant information. Then, they go out and interview the suspects.
Phanésia Pharel has written a fun mystery play that takes the audience into the world of quinceañeras. Along the way, the characters are well developed.
Jacqueline Guillen is great as the leader who starts the investigation. Carmen Berkeley and Ariana Burks are excellent as the friends who follow her lead. Andre Ferro is solid as the friend who has been holding on to some dark secrets.
Overall, it’s a very cute and fun production.
