Operation Mincemeat first premiered in May 2019 in an Off-West End Theatre. It transferred to the West End in 2023. It opened in March 2025 on Broadway. Jak Malone won Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical for his portrayal of Hester Leggatt. And now, in September 2026, the tour arrives at the CIBC Theatre.

In the plot, the English intelligence agency, MI6, hatches up a wild plan to convince the Germans that they were going to invade Sardinia and then invade Sicily instead. The idea is to have them find a dead soldier that has fake plans on it.

The biggest applause is after the showstopper, “Dear Bill”. It’s about a fake letter from the wife of the dead soldier.

It’s quite a crazy story, and now it’s a goofy musical!
