Everything Everything are an art-pop rock band from Salford, England. They are touring to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their album, Get To Heaven. Strangely, during the show, they never mention it.
Towards the end of their set, they play “Distant Past”. “Take me to the distant past, I want to go back / Save me from the distant past, I wanna survive”. This song showcases the lead singer’s talent. He sings, raps, and speed talks all in the same song. The instrumental parts are excellent as well.
They follow this with “No Reptiles”. “Oh baby it’s alright / It’s alright to feel / Like a fat child / In a pushchair / Old enough to run / Old enough to fire a gun”. This song slowly builds until it explodes and it has the entire crowd jumping and dancing along.
